Tom Appelbaum is a native of St. Louis and a graduate of St. Louis University School of Law. He has his MBA from Maryville University and his undergraduate degree is from Missouri State University in geology. He worked as a geologist with the coal industry which led to a career in technology prior to going to law school. He has worked with businesses ranging from Fortune 100 companies to start ups. His experience prior to entering law school gives him a unique perspective on legal issues and the impact they have on the business environment. As an attorney he has represented organizations ranging from hospitals and commercial developers to small contractors and landlords. He is a Director on the Board of Education for the Parkway School District and a Director on the Board of the Missouri Association of Accredited Energy Professionals. He is also co-chair of the administration sub-committee for the St. Louis City Energy Efficiency Finance project.
